Annie is a driven, high-energy individual with a zest for learning and building relationships. After working with her for 1.5 years on a high-impact project that culminated our graduate degree, I can attest to her passion for solving environmental challenges and her hard work in achieving these goals. She is excellent at science communication- her aptitude for distilling complex scientific ideas into both written and spoken form is highly impressive. She’d be an asset to any team and was invaluable to ours.

As a Regional Manager for Backroads, an active travel company that leads biking, hiking, and multisport trips worldwide, I worked closely with Annie developing a trip in Bermuda. As one of Backroads’ trip leaders, Annie was hand selected from a pool of over two thousand applicants based on her ability to work effectively with a variety of people, think critically, operate on an independent level, and for her ability to both understand and interpret her surroundings. The hiring process is extremely selective, and Annie's clear people skills, teamwork and leadership encouraged us to invite her to join our team. These traits continued to be present through our two-week intensive training session. Annie successfully led trips for us throughout the USA, Europe, Asia and the Caribbean. During her time at Backroads, Annie proved to be an extremely capable employee with strong logistical skills. Those skills paired with her detail-oriented way of thinking led us to hire her to manage our trips in Wales, Bermuda and Sri Lanka. In this role, Annie wore many hats in addition to the traditional
