I research and create in-person and virtual content for the diverse parks in my region and offer regular interpretive training for park staff including an introduction to interpretation, social media training, interpretive writing, and more. I regularly monitor parks’ social media and provide feedback. I manage complex projects with multiple collaborators and stakeholders and develop strong relationships with agency partners within state parks and other divisions. I facilitate communication and cooperation between these partners. I also liaison with agency biologists to translate their fieldwork and research to the public in an interesting and accessible way through interpretive programs and various forms of media. In 2018, I presented at the National Association for Interpretation conference on a novel facilitated dialogue approach to interpretation I developed for Texas state parks. Show less

Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada I taught the public about the animals and invertebrates at the Aquarium and their importance in the ecosystem. Reached large audiences through shows that take complex scientific ideas and break them down into information that is entertaining and easily understood by those without a scientific background. I helped to develop new shows and programs and addressed questions and concerns in a professional manner. I also took guests and VIPs on Animal Encounter tours.
