  I started costuming in 2009 while volunteering at Nutley H.S. for its production of "The Producers". Being a part of the community of people trying to get all the mechanisms of putting this production together was an experience that impacted me. I was sewing, embellishing, crafting and creating in consultation with another costumer,(Thomasina Hyland,) and director, Michael Cundari. I enjoyed the hum of activity, interaction and decision-making. I was part of a team in helping to procure, alter, repair and create costume pieces. I am lucky to “start” my career in partnership with Thomasina Hyland,. She has costumed over 100 plays as diverse as “Kiss Me Kate” and “Peter Pan”, (OSPAC) and “Dreamgirls”, (NJPAC) Past credits in our collaboration include Holmdel Theater Group’s production of Story Theater, directed by Ken Wiesinger, Rutgers University production of The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon, Bayonne H.S. production of Willy Wonka, Livingston Community Theater, Chorus Line, and currently, St. Joseph’s Regional H.S. production of Les Miserables. Every production has given me opportunities to expand my knowledge and expertise in this craft. I’ve met professional lighting, stage and set directors who generously devote there time and talent to help young people who aspire to be “Broadway” bound.
