Worked as a temp from October 2013-December 2013. Became a full-time employee in January, 2014. I currently volunteer for their Men In Black program, demoing board games. Activities included resolving shipping issues, settling customer disputes, and many others. "Floater" might be a more appropriate title than "Administrative Assistant." I pick up new tasks very easily, so it was easy to help out multiple departments each day.Assisted many departments, including:-Accounting: Primarily data entry and light clerical assistance.-Conventions: Sales, customer service, constructing/deconstructing booth, register.-Customer Service: After a few months, I was made the primary customer service contact for the company.-Licensing: Primarily clerical assistance and data entry.-Marketing: Data entry, clerical assistance, blog posts like http://www.sjgames.com/ill/archive/May_18_2014/24-Hour_Comic_Day-Print Buying: Primarily clerical assistance and light housekeeping.-Production: Checking tooling samples and catching errors, light clerical work.-Sales: Customer service, conventions.-Warehouse: Packaging, picking, housekeeping as needed.I loved many of the people I worked with, but I missed the trees of northern states too much to stay in Texas.

This is my go-to "fun" part-time job. I also worked at a Durham, NC location for the 2011 holiday season. Who doesn't like video games?Warmly welcome customers to the store and assist with locating and purchasing or trading in video games, plus minor cleaning responsibilities. I consistently delivered exemplary sales numbers and earned perfect customer feedback. This is my go-to "fun" part-time job. I also worked at a Durham, NC location for the 2011 holiday season. Minor managerial responsibilities, ensuring the entire store is functioning optimally, expediting catering and in-store orders, providing superior customer service. Managed employees, maintained customer loyalty through positive interactions, and worked with financial documentations. Working as a barista was some of the most fun I have had at work. I received a lot of appreciation from my customers here, including a framed four-leaf-clover and a dozen cookies from Tiff's Treats! Assisting individuals with mental disabilities in developing social, life, and academic skills. I worked with a variety of children and adults, of differing language and mental capacities. The child a worked with the longest- the whole time I was with the company- was completely nonverbal. My second-longest client was the sweetest individual, and was very excited to learn a little Japanese and keyboard during our time together. This was the most fulfilling position I have ever held. This was my first "real," paid job. Curt & Geri's was a mom and pop ice cream place serving Hershey's ice cream. I was paid $6.50 per hour plus tips. My employer and I both knew this was just a temporary summer position, because I would be attending UNC in the fall. The little shop has been closed now, so that Mrs. Geri could retire. It will always hold a special place in my heart. This was my first "real," paid job. Curt & Geri's was a mom and pop ice cream place serving Hershey's ice cream. I was paid $6.50 per hour plus tips.
