I lived and worked part-time at the Casa de los Amigos, a Quaker center for peace and international understanding in Mexico City. At the Casa, I worked the reception desk, served on one of the Casa's Peace Program Committees (Sustainability), cooked community meals, and got to know guests and refugees living in the Casa. I also worked part-time at Barrio Activo, a Mexican non-profit with a long relationship with the Casa.
