      Annie provided research, health communications, social media, and project management support to a federal clients across the U.S. Health and Human Services (HHS). Annie offered a diverse range of expertise to the Smokefree.gov initiative, which is the National Cancer Institute’s (NCI) digital suite of tobacco cessation resources, which includes audience specific websites, mobile applications, social media, and text message programs. She used evidence-based behavioral theory and tobacco cessation guidelines, as well as formative research, analytics, and user-centered approaches to guide Smokefree.gov's content development and strategy. Annie led the development of NCI’s Smokefree Teen Vaping Quit Plan, which is an interactive tool designed to help youth make a plan to quit vaping. Annie and her team leveraged multidisciplinary monitoring and research to develop a tool filled an important gap in actionable resources for vaping cessation. She also collaborated on several other programmatic efforts, supporting the development of social media strategy to ensure accuracy of messages in the evolving tobacco landscape. Annie also supported various evaluation efforts and ensured those insights were represented in content strategy and programmatic updates. Annie also served as the lead for HHS's the Office of Infectious Disease and HIV Policy’s (OIDP) social media and content strategy, increasing the reach and visibility of priority messages for HIV.gov, and contributed to the development of OIDP's multimedia national campaign for HIV viral suppression. Additionally, Annie managed research and communications support of NCI’s Cancer Prevention Fellowship Program (CPFP), coordinating the development of digital content and creative materials and leading program evaluation projects, including focus groups with alumni of the fellowship.

      Annie is a proud City Year Boston AmeriCorp Member alum. During this time, Annie served at a middle school within the Boston Public School District partnering with a teacher in a fifth grade classroom. Her role was to act a classroom support assisting students with their educational and behavioral needs. She planned and facilitated daily small group ELA tutoring sessions with students, coached students to help raise daily attendance, and acted as a mentor to help students strengthen their behavioral skill set. Annie played a vital role in organizing an after school program and executing numerous school-wide events. and was a member of a strong and dedicated team.
