I came across Annie as this bright, determined junior who had volunteered for the unthinkable at the time: to be the Event Coordinator for the sport of Box Cricket, a sport that is hardly played by girls in the country, that too in an engineering institution where the ratio of girls to boys is less than 1:10! I was thoroughly impressed by her ambition to not only introduce the sport to all the girls in the college but also organize a box cricket competition between 12 departments by the end of the semester! This drive of Annie's propelled the team at the VJTI Gymkhana to give her a chance and Annie grabbed it with both hands. She juggled her gruelling academics at the Textile Department to single handedly organize what turned out to be one of the most exciting and fun events in all our college lives! It drew crowds from ranging from all branches, hostelites, localites and all years! Such was the enthusiastic turnout from girls and boys alike that an institute team was formed on demand that went on to further participate and represent our institute in various competitions. However if you look into Annie's background a bit, it is not surprising that she wowed us all. Annie has a track record of playing women's cricket professionally, a sport again that is largely male dominated. She is a sportsperson at heart and her resilience and perseverance underscore that. Her sportmanship is inspiring and is a huge part of her personality. She is calm under pressure and always has a positive attitude. Her mature and respectful nature and her ability to connect with people make her a great team player. Another one of the best qualities of Annie is that she has an open attitude towards exploring the unknown and trying new things. She is not afraid of learning and is willing to toil till she gets it right. I have enjoyed working with Annie and I am positive that Annie will make an invaluable asset to any team. I would like to wish her all the very best for her future endeavours as Annie embarks on her new journey of graduate school at the NCSU.

She is a highly focused person as well as analytical and can add to any team she is a part of. Her energy to make things happen was contagious and it helped us achieve great goals. She is an active member when it comes group projects and takes a lead to get results with maximum accuracy.
