Marine Scotland - Licensing Operations Team (MS-LOT) is responsible for regulating licensable marine activities in the Scottish inshore and offshore regions. We determine marine licence applications for activities such as marine construction, dredging and sea deposit of dredge material, deposit of moorings, pontoons and marine farms and construction of subsea cables. Additionally, we process several Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) project applications every year. As the Marine Licensing Group Leader I lead a team responsible for determining over 400 marine, European Protected Species and basking shark licence applications every year.
