Working with Annette on the Roanoke Regional Partnership’s fundraising campaign was an excellent experience. Annette became an extension of our team and she worked seamlessly with our staff and volunteer leadership. The campaign exceeded expectations. Annette is a fantastic, experienced professional.

Annette recently facilitated our Board of Directors Retreat, yielding some fantastic results. Being a new Chamber Executive, she took special care to ensure I understood that the issues we are facing are not entirely unique, in other words, I am not alone. She was able to get to the heart of the matter easily and even outlined some steps we can take to improve in short order. Her knowledge of not only Chamber operations, but Board and Organizational Development helped lift our group's level of discussion for clarity in a very short time period. Her collaborative approach and positive attitude had us wanting to work together moving forward right away! I recommend Annette as a consultant for any organization that wants a straightforward, yet insightful approach to problem-solving. Most of all I recommend her for anyone who wants to get past the fluff and get to the action and real results.

Responsibility for taking a chamber that was ready for a transition into a new direction. Identified sustainable assets and assessed areas that needed change. Converted membership to a tiered dues format, created a sponsorship structure that clearly showed value resulting in accelerated new revenue generation. Created an actionable engagement plan, gave the organization brand a new look including a new website and print collateral, created a new committee structure, and recruited volunteers for those committees, reorganized the Board of Directors, rewrote outdated bylaws, restructured the organization's foundation, reenergized strategic partnerships that had diminished, sold an aging property that was draining finances, established a reserve account, and upfit a new facility. Responsibility for planning and facilitating a merger between the 100-year-old Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce and 78-year-old Corpus Christi Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, combining two cultures and chamber traditions into a unified organization representing the entire business community. Work included conducting a complete assessment on both organizations, established a merger working group comprised of members of both boards of directors, creating a completely new organization (United Corpus Christi Chamber), a new board of directors, new brand, new collateral, new organization manuals, processes and, fully integrated the finances, assets, memberships, staff, and operations of the two Chamber offices into one. Negotiated and upfit a new facility for the Chamber and conducted a total resource campaign that closed just under $500,000, a first for the organization. Show less

A national membership development company serving client organizations with a program designed to expand membership while strategically pointing them in a new direction. Campaign facilitation included staff training, volunteer training, a defined membership growth strategy, and tools for sustainability beyond the campaign. Working with chambers of commerce and associations across the country, Membership180 clients successfully increased membership and brought in substantial revenue during a short two to three day campaign, but all report continued gains in the months following their event. In 2.5 years I managed 21 campaigns that brought in over 1600 new members and $353,576 in revenue in a total of 59 event days. Show less

A 750 member chamber representing business and tourism for the Georgetown County community located on the coast of South Carolina between Myrtle Beach and Charleston. The service area covers the entire county and reaches out into the region with a year round population of about 65,000, two municipalities, and a blended economic culture that includes traditional manufacturing, small business and tourism. This position required all organization management skills with an emphasis on building and cultivating relationships with stakeholders, investors of all sizes, local, regional and state leadership and elected officials. During my tenure we doubled membership and increased the budget from $225,000 to around $1.5 million. A significant amount of this growth happened in the years 2008 to 2010 during economic crisis.
