Annette represents the best of ‘best practices’ in the field of early childhood education. I was privileged to spend my first year of solo classroom teaching under Annette’s guidance at Altschool. At the time, Annette, in addition to being an excellent head of school, also worked in each classroom and picked up the work of others at the first call. Annette taught me about how to be a bold and compassionate leader, and her memory inspires my graduate work in leadership to this day.
