Bio
Christine Stepherson (She/Her)
Whether it be as an employer, a business leader, a teacher, a volunteer mom at school or as a convener around social justice discussions, Anne Phyfe leads with her heart and with the greater community in mind. She excels in all the professional components necessary for what comes next for her -- community relations, outreach, building brand identity, coalition work, speaking, managing staff, training. Her work in wellness made a lasting impact on Seattle but her leadership style crosses industries. Having known Anne Phyfe for more than 25 years it is hard to click a box for relationship. She has been my client: her running a fabulous business and me working with her developing a communications plan in the first decade of 8 Limbs and I have been her client as a yoga student and purchaser of her books. We have volunteered in community and the mountains together. I have experienced first-hand how she uses her talents and energy to bring people together.

Anne Phyfe is a triple threat, and then some! She comes to the table with business and marketing smarts, programming and forecasting genius, and a sweet and nurturing heart. Her vision for 8 Limbs, and for my part in it, led to more than 25 years of collaboration, co-creation, and friendship. This long relationship has encouraged me to hone my own skills as a teacher, leader, and independent business owner, and to keep following my creative ideas. A born leader, Anne Phyfe knows how to spot talent and hard-to-train qualities like authenticity, groundedness (is that a word?) and presence, and built a team of teachers and staff that were, and still are, like another family to me. Our studios were known for the depth of character our teachers and staff displayed, and for our commitment to equity and social justice. She knows when to lead, and when to let others showcase their strengths. She can communicate with both discernment and compassion, and fosters a learning culture that allows others to feel comfortable sharing their own ideas and challenges. I miss working with her!
