Anne entered a highly pressurized environment and handled her role within it with a cool head, a steady hand,a quiet ease and efficiency. She responds to challenges and direction very well and uses her initiative in an intelligent manner. She was a tremendous support as my intern and I would not hesitate to recommend her to any future employer. Should you require further information please contact me through Linkedin or via Anne herself.

Aoife Porter

Anne joined The Model team in April 2011 and in the first week she made such a contribution that it felt like she had always been part of the team. We immediately knew that not only would Anne be an integral player in a very stretched marketing team; but that we could rely on her initiative and ability to get any assigned work done with very little guidance or input required from us. Anne was an invaluable source of help and in particular took the initiative to manage the following projects herself: • Management of the collation and distribution of the mailing list and invitations for The Model’s Official Reopening • Management of The Model’s FundIt project for Harun Farocki • Management of The Model’s website content development • Management of The Model’s marketing relationship with corporates for promotional events. • Management and updating of The Model's PR lists Anne will thrive in any organisation she joins; she is a hard worker, enthusiastic, experienced, intelligent and a pleasure to work with.

Lucy Baxter

Anne is creative, industrious and highly experienced; she is a talented writer, an original thinker and a reliable team player

I produced this artist film, 'A Visit, A Ceremony, A Gift', curated by Kate Strain as part of the TULCA UnSelfing programme for Galway 2020 European Capital of Culture, supported by The French Embassy in Ireland. Made remotely during the Covid-19 pandemic, the film focuses on the research and practice of Austrian artist and philosopher Elisabeth Von Samsonow who is inspired by the role of the White Goddess, and the Deep Ecology movement. Samsonow and her fellow participating artists each made new work and filmed at their respective locations in Austria, Ireland, Belgium and France. Artists: Marielle MacLeman, Ruth Le Gear, Ruby Wallis and Michaële Cutaya, Michelle Doyle, Liliane Puthod, Naïmé Perrette and Sara Sadik. Edited by Eavan Aiken. Show less

This role encompassed managing the gallery staff and volunteers, producing the gallery’s annual exhibition programme, selecting and working with the artists, fundraising, devising auxiliary education and engagement projects, and developing the strategic vision and outreach of the organisation. On commencing the post in 2016 I reshaped the programme to represent emerging artists alongside mid-career artists, while balancing the demand for exhibitions that fulfil the Gallery’s community remit for community engagement. Achievements included securing programme and capital funding; convening professional development opportunities for artists and developing an annual International Artist Residency. Selected curated exhibitions included: • Laura Fitzgerald / Please Proceed As Normal • Stephen Dunne / Worms in Your Head • Conor O’Leary / WALKS • Sadhbh Gaston / Brought to you Despite… • Tanya Harris / Consciousness Resides in Geometry • Mollie Douthit / Acts of Patience Show less

    • Curator, All Bread is Made of Wood
      • Aug 2017 - Dec 2017

All Bread is Made of Wood is a public art project commissioned by Fingal Public Art Co-ordinator Caroline Cowley and curated by Anne Mullee. Invited artists Fiona Hallinan and Sabina MacMahon contemplate bread and its elements as a vehicle for the transference of knowledge and memory as embodied in its production. The project is composed of series of private and public interactions, including recipe salons with local African women’s group Nwannediuto, and the area’s older population, and public events where hypotheses of bread and its elements are anatomised and considered. The project was initiated in 2017 and continues. Show less

To Follow The Water showcased new work and talks on board and nearby the 73M Barge at the Grand Canal Dock from 15th 18th September 2016. The project received funding from Dublin City Council's Art Featuring new work by Olivia Hassett, Mary-Jo Gilligan, David Fagan and Ciara McKeon, To Follow The Water continued an exploration of Ireland's watercourses initiated during 2015’s The Artists’ Armada, when a flotilla of artist-made craft sailed around Dublin’s Gand Canal Dock. On board and nearby, the invited artists use performance, sound, object making, and psychogeography to pose questions around the phenomenological and ontological nature of water, the social history of the canal and the organisms inhabiting its depths. Supporting events included a talk from Ruth Minogue about the landscape character of the Grand an Royal Canals, and a presentation from Rachel Anderson and Cis O'Boyle of idle women, the floating arts centre for women based on a barge in England's North West. LocateIran is a two month online exhibition showcasing emerging artists, writers, curators and cultural producers from and related to Iran. The exhibition includes painting, sculpture, photography, video, dance, text and digital work. The artists span a range of relationships with Iran, from Iranians to curators in residence in Tehran and artists in exile. The exhibition seeks to provide a glimpse into its world of contemporary art. As part of LocateIran I have worked with just two of the many adroit individuals I met while on a residency in Tehran, whose work offers a glimpse behind the curtain of propaganda that veils Iran from much of the world. LocateIran is part of a wider project titled ‘ProjectLocate’ which will host bimonthly online exhibitions of emerging artists from Iran, Egypt, Iraq, Turkey, Lebanon and Morocco. Show less

    • Curator, but never mind, solo exhibition by Hannah Mooney
      • Jun 2014 - Aug 2014

The exhibition but never mind was the most recent iteration of Hannah Mooney’s continuing experimentation of split screen video, an approach that she describes as allowing ‘instantaneous burps’ of unrelated imagery to collide and spark new modes of dialogue. Clichéd imagery recalls sentimental 1970s nature posters or stock video photography, offering brief yet unexpectedly emotive pairs images that insistently prod the viewing to wonder at their meaning. Hannah Mooney is a Bristol-based Contemporary artist from Dublin, with a studio at the contemporary art centre Spike Island. She graduated in 2012 with First Class Honors in BA Fine Art Media from the National College of Art and Design, Ireland. Hannah works primarily in video/ installation and since her degree has previously exhibited at the Exeter Contemporary Open (2013) and worked across the UK. Show less
