As Director and Head of Event Planning and Coordination, I have overall responsibility, alongside the company’s Senior Management team, for the strategic planning of upcoming events, including:- Identifying key industry trends and policy areas for topics of future events- Setting financial targets for all events organised by the EU-policy team- Planning appropriate dates for conferences for the year to come taking into account policy calendars, possible competing events and the human resources required for specific projects.- Creative thinking about event formats, structure, marketing and publicity options.- Training of new employees / Supervision, guidance and support of existing event managers.I also fully manage my own portfolio of digital events, focusing on content, speakers and sponsors recruitment, while working closely with the team of event managers to coordinate all logistical and operational tasks.My duties as Conference Producer and Event Manager include:- Independent research of key policy issues and Conference Production- Development of the conference identity and branding in liaison with the company’s designer, including pre-event marketing collateral and event-day material.- Compilation of targeted and comprehensive marketing database and marketing of events through mailing systems, use of Social Media (mainly LinkedIn and Twitter)- Identification and liaison with high-level speakers- Approach and liaison with conference’s sponsors and partners.- Arrangement of all AV, printing, venue and catering requirements- Compilation of the internal event reports and dissemination of conference proceedings to the participants.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------2011 - 2012 Event Development Executive2012 - 2013 Event Manager2013 - June 2016 Senior Event ManagerJune 2016 - Present Director - Head of Event Planning and Coordination
