    • Advisor to the Pro-Rector for International Affairs, International Networks & Strategic Partnerships
      • Sep 2018 - Nov 2020

This appointment as Advisor to the Pro-Rector for International Affairs allowed me to continue the work related to the International Lhoist Berghmans Innovation Chair. One of the objectives was to create synergies between the two positions as both strive to strengthen international networks in which UCLouvain is active and to establish strategic partnerships. Another important aspect of my role is to support Prof. Dana Samson, Pro-Rector for International Affairs, in coordinating UCLouvain's activities in international networks of comprehensive universities such as The Guild or The Coimbra Group. • Advisor to the Dean of the School of Engineering on International Policy
      • Apr 2014 - Jun 2020

In my function as advisor, I am notably in charge of implementing and administrating the International Lhoist Berghmans Innovation Chair. I do so in close collaboration with Professor Sophie Demoustier, Vice-Dean for international affairs at the Louvain School of Engineering. Internationalisation has been a target for the school for some time. In the past few years, however, it has become a priority in which the faculty is willing to invest time and resources. The Chair was launched on January 1st 2014 with the support of Fondation Louvain. It is a significant contribution to the internationalisation strategy of the school. The global objective of the Chair is the development of an ambitious international programme which will attract and educate highly talented Belgian and international students and prepare them to be confronted to industrial competition in international environments. As an evaluation expert at ADE, she co-drafted various evaluation reports for the European Commission and for the Belgian Cooperation. She answered the question on public security (PASS programme) and the question on LRRD (Linking, Relief, Rehabilitation and Development) for the country evaluation on Honduras commissioned by the European Commission. She also took part as a medium expert in the Thematic Evaluation of the European Commission’s support to Justice and Security System Reforms. She studied the Latin American Countries even though she also covered the police reform in Indonesia during the field phase. She drafted the evaluation question on Disarmament, Demobilisation and Reintegration (including the study cases of Liberia and Guinea-Bissau). She further undertook, as deputy team leader, the evaluation of the European Union’s humanitarian assistance in Colombia. She was assessing notably the interventions implemented by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in the conflict zones of Valle del Cauca. Finally, she has worked on the African Peace Facility (APF) evaluation for the European Commission. She contributed to the coverage of two components of the APF: the capacity building component (ECCAS and the Peace and Security Department of the African Union), the component on Peace and Security Operations (MICOPAX in the Central African Republic).
