  The primary role was the establishment and management of the Grains Harvest Management Scheme (GHMS). The scheme recognises the difficulty of in-field loading of a bulk commodity such as grain, with varying moisture contents and densities, to within an accurate weight tolerance. An additional role assigned was the establishment and coordination of an inaugural AgForce survey which saw every member spoken to about a range of needs and issues over a three-month period.
