Among all the directors and group leaders I have worked with, Annie was one of the most dynamic, passionate and fun to work with. Her original and creative ideas can transform and elevate any project toward excellence. She can see the opportunities beyond the challenges and was always encouraging, positive, and truly a formidable person, with great leadership abilities.

En Garde Arts is an award-winning not for profit theatre that produces bold, unconventional, and innovative multimedia and interdisciplinary theatre that marries content with community and inspires dialogue and debate about the salient issues of our time. En Garde has garnered vast acclaim for its 360-degree approach to producing theatre, commissioning both emerging and established artists to create immersive, theatrical work inspired by real life stories that it brings to life, serving as a fierce advocate to employing theatre as a means through which to bring together people who are not normally in conversation — and catalyze social change. Past productions have been honored with six OBIEs, two Drama Desk Awards and an Outer Critics Circle Award. En Garde was in existence form 1985 to 1999 and was relaunched in 2014. En Garde's production of WILDERNESS takes a poignant look at the attempts of parents and their children to connect amidst the complexities of 21st century life. A NY Times Critics PIck, it premiered at the Abrons Arts Center and is touring the country. En Garde's production of BASETRACK Live, a multimedia, documentary theatre piece about the impact of war on the military and their families, went on a 40 city tour around the United States and was named among the top ten theatrical productions for 2014 by The New York Times.
