  Key role was to develop the education and training capacity of Carers SA to ensure that Carers SA was to become a key provider of education and training in the community sector. Involved in setting up a quality assurance framework to ensure the principles of the Australian Quality Assurance Framework were adhered too.Involved in setting up training programs for Carers and service providers. Other key roles were developing the staff development section of Carers SA and to establish Carers SA as a Registered Training Organisation.

  Key roles within TAFE SA were to coordinate the midyear intake of students and to lecture within the child studies program. Some of my tasks were: reviewing projected productivity targets and budget formulas for the Child Studies Program and ensuring that the student intake and lecturer allocation was implemented within budget requirements. Allocated and mentored new casual lecturers to lecture within the program. Organised timetables, orientation week, enrolments, information sessions, police checks, study skills session, first aid sessions and have provided course counselling to a number of students. Also coordinated the field placements for students. My other key responsibility was to lecture across TAFE SA programs. My speciality for lecturing included communication competencies, (ICIC), child development subjects (FC1C, FC2, FC5 ), coordinating of work environments (Org 6) and reporting on the current issues in the early childhood field (legal and ethical responsibilities.)

  Network SA is a non-profit agency, which serves a client base of over 600 businesses and community organisations within South Australia and Northern Territory. Specialising in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Legal Accountability, Corporate Governance and Cultural Awareness, Network SA provides training, mentoring, publications and a telephone advice line to various sectors including child care, education and the health sector. They also provided advice to multicultural organisations and Indigenous children’s services.

  The Community Child Care Centre Inc, (trading as Unley & Parkside Community Child Care), is a multi-site non-profit, community based child care centre that encompasses two long day care locations and two outside school hours care locations. At the time of my employment, the organisation provided services for over 300 familles, employed over 30 regular staff and had an annual turnover of approximately $850,000.
