I write and help produce the PRACE PageTurners series of books for adults learning to read in English. I've been involved with adult literacy most of my adult life, first as a volunteer tutor, later as a teacher — mostly outside of my usual teaching hours. I started writing PageTurners because at the time there were few easy beginner readers suitable for adults. We try to make all our books fun, entertaining, and of interest to adults.
