During my internship I worked on the quantitative analysis of preterm cerebral perfusion using color Doppler, within the Thoraxcenter Biomedical Engineering department. A summary of this project is described at the section 'projects'.

During my internship in Maastricht, I attended both the Intensive Care and the Oncology/Radiotherapy departments. I worked on two different projects: - 'Automatic adaptive alarm systems for intensive care units', where we programmed some smart tools to deal with alarm fatigue. - 'Towards clinical implementation of a novel time-resolved method for applicator commissioning in brachytherapy'. The aim was to assist with the clinical implementation by verifying the source positioning. I was able to work with a LINAC, CT scanner, brachytherapy afterloader and a treatment planning system. Besides, I attended surgeries and followed several courses given by specialists.

As a student assistent, I weekly assisted a small group of about ten students in Calculus, math. I checked their homework assignments and as a group we discussed the exercises and additional questions each week. At the end, I graded their exams.
