In August 2018, I took on the challenge to start the boarding house at St. John's International School as a Boarding Houseparent. Since it is a start-up boarding house, I had written up its policies and procedures and set-up its routines while working along side the Middle and High School Principal. I was also in-charge to manage the organisation of the whole boarding house including the house staff rotation, cleaning schedule and the up keeping of the facilities as well as the well-being and the pastoral care of the boarders.

As a Grade Level leader, I planned and resourced the content of the Advisory curriculum at the Grade level. I assumed responsibility for the welfare of Grade Level students; followed up any incidents; maintained records and student files; had meetings with parents during or after school as required; arranged sanctions where appropriate. I chaired regular Grade Level meetings and ensured timely communication on student well-being between Advisors and Parents, and communicated Grade Level information to parents as necessary. I planned and organized the Grade Level recognitions and awards to students, aligned with other Grade Level leaders. I coordinated Grade Level day trips and arranged service activities with one of the local organizations in the community. I also managed the Grade Level budget and participated in a monthly after-school meeting with the MHS Pastoral Team.

As a Middle School Student Council Adviser, I formulated the guidelines for the MS student council and held student elections at the beginning of the academic year. I organised weekly meetings with the Student Council members and suggested appropriate actions. I held responsible for the budget and relayed any communication between the Student Council and the Staff and the School administration.
