I founded Solid Pink Productions to continue my work creating thought-provoking short films about art and creative practice that promote scholarship, understanding, and visionary thinking. Working closely with museums, artists, and curators, I oversee the production of short films that expand perception and access to artworks and exhibitions. Working as a one-woman powerhouse—and with the support of an amazing network of talent—I direct, write, capture, and edit short documentary films. An essential aspect of my practice is the development of relationships with artists to know their work and mind in order to represent, reflect, and perpetuate the core concepts of their work. During an extraordinarily challenging time in world for nonprofits I joined the MCN team to support strategic development of platforms and software to support MCN leadership to better serve its member community. I oversaw the execution of international virtual events, website development, the implementation of Salesforce, and numerous other tools and workflows to enable the organization to do its best to support professional development in a community that was more heavily relied on than ever before to support access to culture through digital technology. • Director of Digital Media
      • Jul 2015 - Mar 2019

In this role, I produced digital content and managed the development of platforms, including the creation of dozens of short videos and websites to support contemporary art scholarship and visitor engagement with exhibitions. The videos I produced have traveled with exhibitions and continue to provide insight into the work of some of the greatest artists of our time. One of the largest projects during my tenure was the redesign and rebuild of the MCA website from the ground up including a new collections section that integrates with the digital asset management system and the collection management system. This website was the first iteration of a resource that embodied the museum’s new visual identity, as well as content that reflected the new brand identity. Including a generous user experience that prioritized accessible features and content. The website surpasses the ADA and 508 web standards, and a key part of exceeding these standards was the development of the Coyote project for which I am cofounder. This is an image description software and workflow that is currently being used to describe the museum’s images of artworks for blind and low-vision website visitors, although its impact has proven to benefit both the staff and sighted audiences through the visual description layer incorporated in the 2.0 release of mcachicago.org. • Associate Director of Digital Media
      • May 2014 - Jun 2015

I was brought on at the MCA in this new role to created to leverage my experience as both a filmmaker and museum technologist. Over my first year I managed the museum’s website and exhibition website projects alongside producing short films. Most importantly I developed project management methods, including new workflows, schedules, and a rigorous scriptwriting and review process to ease production into a higher quality approach. In addition to developing audio and video documentation strategy and project management I oversaw the production of several short documentaries including a 25 minute short film on the public works of Doris Salcedo that has been (and continues to be) screened at museums around the country. For all of these areas of production I managed individual project budgets and the annual media department budget, as well as assisting with the digital interactive and web department budgets. • Video Project Manager
      • Dec 2011 - Nov 2013

I was hired to create the BPOC media services department, a new business area for the organization. The BPOC media services department was a video and audio production services team serving 27 member organizations in Balboa Park. With limited start-up funds, I created an earned income stream and grew the department to support a full-time Digital Media Coordinator and myself and an internship program to support hands on training for San Diego area film students. As a hands-on manager, I directly participated in the production of video and audio for web, mobile, and in-gallery display for BPOC member institutions and non-profits in the San Diego region, including a two-year documentary project for the Irvine Foundation funded Open Spaces public art project. I also served as the project manager for Conservation Reel, www.conservationreel.org, a Kress Foundation funded online resource for conservation professionals, students and the interested public that successfully soft-launched in August 2013. In addition to producing hundreds of videos and audio tours, giving each client a unique voice to represent their institution, I trained clients in methods of production and coordinated their web presence on YouTube, ArtBabble, and iTunes U.
