  TeamPolice is an exciting new joint-venture by Police Sport UK and Ethos, which will raise much needed funds through an innovative sponsorship scheme whose aim is to improve the wellbeing of our UK Police Forces through increased participation in sport and physical activity.Our Police forces do a great deal on our behalf. In order to protect our communities and our way of life, we frequently ask these brave men and women to risk their lives and when called upon they do so with great courage and professionalism. They carry out challenging tasks every day to protect people from risk, threat and harm. Whether on the operational front line dealing with crisis events or in support roles protecting our most vulnerable members of society, police officers and staff face physical and emotional trauma on a regular basis.Sport is critical to the morale, motivation and wellbeing of our Police. Recent research undertaken jointly with Cardiff Metropolitan University corroborates existing strong evidence that taking part in sport considerably improves health and wellbeing. Team Police has been set up as an innovative new approach that will attract significantly more funding for Police sports, thereby enabling serving and retired police officers, police staff and their families greater opportunities to get involved andbecome more active.
