I had the chance to work with Anna during our shared time at Canada Learning Code. Anna has a passion for helping others and a desire to be inclusive in her projects. She innovates and researches new market strategies from competitors, and works hard to make every learner feel heard. I'd recommend Anna in the classroom, and for project teams!

At Top Hat, I worked under Anna on the Content team. As we worked on bringing multiple textbooks to completion, Anna allowed me to take ownership over large parts of our projects while providing support and guidance as needed. Anna consistently had a positive attitude and the ability to effectively manage any changes that came our way. As a manager, she helped identify room for me to grow and then provided me with unique opportunities to challenge myself and further develop a variety of skills. Her demeanour and support makes her a great manager and co-worker, and it was a wonderful experience to be a part of her team.

The issues in the lack of diversity in tech are largely systematic. The earlier we can set the tone and standard of healthy tech cultures and shape fundamental beliefs and expectations - the closer we get to ensuring equal access to technology education across each region of Canada. Through our Educator Programs, we are working to empower educators in the K to 12 sector across Canada with the skills they need to confidently teach coding and principles of technology to their students. By 2027, Canada Learning Code will create 10 million meaningful technology learning experiences for Canadians!
