Through our Educator Programs, we are working to empower educators in the K to 12 sector across Canada with the skills they need to confidently teach coding and principles of technology to their students. By 2027, Canada Learning Code will create 10 million meaningful technology learning experiences for Canadians!

After gaining a deep understanding of our products as the project manager for our educational content, I used my insights to develop many strategic programs focused on sales enablement, product development and market positioning. Reported directly to the VP of Product Marketing.• Led the enablement of our sales force to effectively communicate our product to the market. Our enablement efforts focused on persona-specific messaging, competitive insights and industry training.• Led the creation of our company’s primary product videos, from scripting to filming, which ultimately achieved 38% more audience engagement and 1.7x better conversion than our previous product video.• Launched Top Hat’s first-ever Efficacy Grant Program and obtained C-level support to award customers with grants up to $15,000 allowing them study new ways of teaching that best lead to improved student outcome.

Educational Project Manager - Textbook Product Development

In this role at Top Hat, I have successfully delivered multiple complex projects around the development of educational materials to populate the Top Hat Marketplace used today by over 1 million students.• Led over 30 authoring professors and 3 junior project managers in the end-to-end creation of our bestselling digital textbook products, from identifying market needs, to building and executing complex project plans• Collaborated with our marketing team’s lead generation team to develop an ‘Educator’s Toolkit’ - the toolkit became the top-performing marketing asset for Top Hat’s Fall 2017 Campaign• Enabled our go-to-market teams with the videos and collateral required to effectively sell our products to their prospects.

With a mission and passion for creating social impact, I launched a social enterprise with a mission to increase access to goods and services in crowded urban spaces through the application of 3D printers and ethical filament. • Developed a 3D printing services business model aimed to increase the accessibility and variety of niche products for institutions, such as schools and farms, in global rural communities. • Presented business model to multiple funding bodies in Toronto and Shanghai, including innovation and sustainability representatives from PwC, RBC and the Hult Prize Foundation.

I am a trained educator with experience in public and private schools amongst primary/junior students. In my time as an OCT-certified educator, I taught at Montcrest Private School. I also have teaching experience in the TDSB, TCDSB, and Dr. Eric Jackman Institute of Child Study and Education. • Promoted inclusion in my teaching pedagogy by collaborating heavily with educators of varying expertise such as education technology, Aboriginal education and special needs education. • Assessed students' learning using a variety of documentation strategies including checklists, rubrics and anecdotal notes to develop and plan strategies that support students in their next steps. • Designed and implemented lesson plans that focused on project-based learning, experiential learning and inquiry-based methodology. • Taught whole-group and small-group lessons for youth from all age groups, including kindergarten, primary and junior cohorts. • Tutor math for children with special needs, particularly those with attention and other executive function difficulties. • Volunteered to work as a coach/supervisor for extra-curricular programs including; skating and racquet sports.

As a student researcher, I worked with the Director of Obstetrics and Anesthesia in Mount Sinai Hospital to study the impact of using ultrasound technology to minimize the risks associated with epidural insertion during labour. My contribution lead to the development of educational modules for new anesthesiologists to feel more confidence in their provision of epidurals to women in labour. • Involved in project development and write-up of prospective studies with the director of Obstetrics and Anesthesia in Mount Sinai Hospital. • Screened and recruited patients for ongoing studies. • Performed systemic literature searches and reported findings to the Mount Sinai Hospital Obstetrical Anesthesia team.
