  I have organized and am conducting a research study on the effect of maternal depression on the cognitive development of malnourished children at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital in Kisumu, Kenya. Cognitive development is being measured by heart rate variability through the use of an electrocardiogram and through the Bayley Scales of Infant and Toddler Development.
