As an intern at EUROSOLAR e.V. (The European Association for Renewable Energy) I could contribute to promotion of renewable energy in Germany and Europe. The organisation's activities aim to reach several stakeholders at different levels - an academic level, by giving opportunities for students and researchers to broaden their knowledge about RES, a business level, by supporting RE enterprises and a political level, by proposing policies which are favorable for clean technologies. During my internship I focused on energy storage technologies. I did so because in my opinion the transition towards renewable energy cannot happen without a wise and sustainable implementation of energy storages, especially now when we can observe a surge of interest in energy supply provided by prosumers. What is more, as a summary of my work at EUROSOLAR, I delivered an article which compares two different technologies (redoxflow and lithium-ion) as potential batteries to be implemented in community energy storages.
