At 20 years old, I moved to Los Angeles with a photography career in mind and accomplished exactly that. My networking ability went on to prove incredibly fruitful for my own business and I would be enthusiastic to share the knowledge I have acquired from photography, fashion, public relations, marketing, journalism, and writing with those who see I would be an asset to their company. I went on to work with or photograph for Lifetime TV, Project Runway, Xixi Yang, Michael Costello, Mondo Guerra, Seth Aaron, Tyra Banks, Kim Kardashian, Victoria Justice, Bustle, Family of Gene Simmons, Joshua Ledet, Julian Lennon, Patrick Star, Jaclyn Hill, Trixie Mattel, Bretman Rock, People magazine, AIA awards, El Paseo Fashion Week, LA Fashion Week, Milan Fashion Week, Don Benjamin, Liane Valenzuela, Coco Rocha, Bethany Hamilton, and many more.

Here at Current Elliot, I was a part-time sales associate while studying for my degree in English Literature. This role helped me to become more confident in my ability to socialize with strangers. I learned how to use a cash register, do clothing inventory, clean and manage a store properly and be a team player alongside my co-workers. I loved this job and all the skills it taught me and friends it gave me! Here at Current Elliot, I was a part-time sales associate while studying for my degree in English Literature. At a young age I was hired at a local online community start up that would later become Santa Cruz Waves Magazine, a successful local surf magazine in the heart of my hometown. I worked for them for 3 years, starting as a writing and photography intern, then working my way up as one of their contributing photographers, growing with them as they expanded themselves. I wrote excerpts for the online galleries I photographed, landed a spread in one of their issues, and then eventually went on to run my own column for their bi-monthly print issues called “Word on the Street”. Alongside a team, I also ran their snapchat, instagram, and facebook, working together to expand their engagement across the world. It was here I learned how to be a professional writer and photographer. I was taught so much and molded into the photographer and writer I wanted to be by this amazing company, and I am so lucky to have had the journalistic exposure I had here at such a young age.

When I moved to LA and decided to pursue fashion photography, I landed an internship at a PR firm and fashion studio “No Such Agency”. My duties included styling clients, managing public relations for various celebrities, and managing social media. I learned how to network and later applied the knowledge I acquired here to my own business, photographing the larger celebrity clients I only dreamt of when I had first moved to the city. Helena and Dan, the owners of NSA, taught me a lot on the world of public relations and I am eternally grateful. I went on to work with or photograph for Lifetime TV, Project Runway, XIXI Yang, Michael Costello, Mondo Guerra, Seth Aaron, Tyra Banks, Family of Gene Simmons, Joshua Ledet, Julian Lennon, Patrick Star, Jaclyn Hill, Trixie Mattel, Bretman Rock, People magazine, AIA awards, El Paseo Fashion Week, Don Benjamin and Liane Valenzuela, Coco Rocha, and many more. The fashion knowledge I acquired here is equivalent to that of boot camp. I went in thinking I knew how to dress myself, and left knowing the minute details in the fashion industry I didn't know existed. My closet is very grateful.
