-
Feb 2021 - Present
Manage and contribute technically to the ongoing adaptation and implementation of the multi-pronged learning agenda for USAID's Feed the Future Market Systems and Partnerships Activity (MSP), a $65 million global initiative that blends direct partnerships with the private sector with long-term collaborative learning and capacity building efforts to advance the state of MSD and PSE in the industry. Oversee M&E/CLA and communications and reporting, and support in building a culture of learning within the project team. MarketShare Associates (MSA) is a global firm of creative facilitators, strategists, economists and experienced research and data nerds who offers public sector decision makers access to a new generation of market and social insights for forecasting and measuring human behavior and social outcomes. The MSP Activity aims to advance learning and good practice on market systems development (MSD) and private sector engagement (PSE) within USAID, USAID implementing partners, and market actors by providing and improving upon the evidence, capacity, tools, technical assistance, and/or services required to design, implement, monitor, and/or evaluate activities. MSP is a DC-based project that supports USAID in bringing about a major cultural transformation by integrating PSE across all activities, while at the same time deepening MSD and facilitative approaches across the Feed the Future program cycle. Provided technical input and final quality control on 30 publications (of the 72 produced life of project), and co-authored several technical deliverables. Managed 5 subs and dozens of staff and consultants, directly overseeing $2.5 million in spending during my time as CoP. Represented the project at high-profile meetings and coordinated a closing conference.About LEO: LEO conducted research and applied learning in a variety of technical areas, including M&E for market systems, systemic change, wage labor and pathways out of poverty, resilience, women's economic empowerment, youth, and models for scale.
