  I manage two teams within Atelier Ten: an M&E engineering team delivering a variety of projects, and secondly, a small team specialising in benchmarking services such as BREEAM and Code for Sustainable Homes (CSH). With a dedicated M&E engineering team of 10, I managed and delivered a programme of 30 projects. In addition I have cultivated a number of clients, project managers and architects with whom I work on a regular basis. I am well-versed in developing fee proposals, delivering job pitches and fully managing projects, resources and staff. I am used to bringing in my own work or being assigned projects and taking them through all stages of design from concept, detailed design to delivery on site. Innovative design on recent projects includes both passive and active design such as orientation, solar shading, thermal mass, earth ducts, ground source heat pumps (both open and closed), C-CHP, thermal stores and in conjunction with Nuaire have developed a bespoke heat recovery unit for schools.I still undertake a proportion of design on many of the projects, have specialist housing knowledge and have delivered a number of high-achieving EcoHomes, CSH and PassivHaus developments. This is complemented by a breadth of engineering experience that ranges from large commercial schemes to complex engineered solutions. I was directly responsible for establishing a fully-documented QMS system within Atelier Ten and successfully secured ISO 9001 certification within six months and have assumed the role of Quality Manager and manage a team of 4 auditors.I am mentoring a number of technical staff providing support and helping them achieve their goals such as chartered engineer status or career progression.   I joined Atelier Ten in November 2002 working as lead engineer on a variety of projects including a number of housing schemes (from a one-off private residence to large housing developments in both the public and private sector) and office developments. Between 2002 and 2006, I grew as an engineer assuming responsibility for line management, invoicing and fee proposals.

  My first appointment with Tilney Simmons was as a Placement Engineer for one year. I was then invited to work part-time through my final year, returning on completion of my degree to full-time employment as a Graduate Engineer progressing to Senior Engineer. I worked as the Lead Engineer delivering both Mechanical and Electrical Engineering design for a number of banking projects ranging from executive offices to a full trading floor. Additional projects included a visitor centre and a desert palace. I was seconded to the Head of Engineering at Goldman Sachs for 3 months to attend meetings, review drawings and specifications from Consultants. Show less
