I work with women's rights and gender justice program teams to ensure the strategic functioning of MEL systems and effective use of program learning. In doing so, I design quantitative and qualitative methods and systems, analyze resulting data, produce documents, and support the generation and dissemination of evidence and knowledge. In particular, I focus on integrating feminist MEL principles to support program quality and continuous improvement that contributes to the strengthening of Oxfam Canada's program strategies on CSO capacity building and on the promotion of women’s rights and gender equality. I led the development, refinement and application of monitoring and evaluation tools (including a performance measurement framework) for a six-country program focused on ending violence against women and girls. Doing so included coordinating the timely collection and analysis of quality monitoring information and contributing to the production of a variety of monitoring and other reports for a range of stakeholders. I also worked to improve program learning processes, including by identifying, documenting and sharing best practice, lessons and case studies / stories. Doing so included providing monitoring and evaluation technical assistance to the Oxfam team in the various countries, including designing and delivering results-based management, and monitoring and evaluation training. I also played a key role in monitoring and evaluation capacity strengthening, including supporting the development of monitoring tools and methods, reviewing reports, and contributing to new project proposals.
