Business South Bank is a membership organization, based in the South Bank precinct, working with over 120 businesses across the cultural, corporate, education and retail sectors. The NFP Chamber of Commerce is a conduit for the dissemination of information, including the research and preparation of submissions to the State Government and BCC. Information sessions, events and functions were organized to advise members on the following projects in 2014 which included The Cultural Precinct Master Plan, The Kurilpa Riverfront Renewal Plan, The Bus and Train Tunnel (BaT) and the Brisbane City Council draft plan. Reporting to the Executive Officer, I was responsible for managing and growing the membership base, organizing corporate events, and coordinating the daily operation of the office. I provided administrative support including diary and appointment management, call screening and redirection of workload where appropriate. I prepared audit and statutory reporting and was involved in the publication of the Annual Report for Business Southbank 2013-14. This report included financial auditing, and a collection of the associations achievements, events and member engagement. My role as the administrator involved assisting the Executive Officer with the compilation of the data collation required for statutory reporting from the various stakeholders to ensure compliance with the associated metrics. I was responsible for assisting the Executive Officer with the management and effective functioning of the Chamber of Commerce Board committee meetings including coordination and scheduling, preparation of minutes and Board briefing papers, follow up action tracking, reporting and all related correspondence. I was the secretariat for the Showcase and Sustainability sub-committees. Show less
