This post was one that enabled me to begin to involved myself in using data to identify which students required academic support, through extra curricula activities. My role involved identifying which students and then putting together an extra curricula plan that enabled as many of the under performing students to attend session that would support them to close their academic gaps and under performance.

      Canning Town I was an NQT at Eastlea Community School, in 2002, during my 5 years at the school I taught PE to KS 3 and 4, across a range of disciplines, ages and genders. I delivered GCSE PE and BTEC, my results for GCSE PE were 74%, with BTEC PE results being 100%, prior to my starting at the school the PE results had generally been poor, around 25%. In my final Year of teaching GCSE PE, the value added score for the subject was 1039 (this did not include the BTEC results).
