New Cross I was appointed to the role of Advanced Skills Teacher at the Hatcham campus in New Cross in 2012, I spent 5 years working specifically on the quality of Teaching and Learning across all subject areas. It was during this time, that my passion for Pedagogy and Practice really developed. It gave me the opportunity to work with such a breadth of staff from NQTs, middle leaders, outstanding teachers and those who need support to improve the provision for the students. Canning Town In my my 3rd year of teaching I was promoted to the post of enrichment coordinator. This post was one that enabled me to begin to involved myself in using data to identify which students required academic support, through extra curricula activities. My role involved identifying which students and then putting together an extra curricula plan that enabled as many of the under performing students to attend session that would support them to close their academic gaps and under performance.

Canning Town In addition to the duties and responsibilities I had in the PE department, I was appointed to the post of Literacy Coordinator, which effectively meant I was working across the school with all students and staff to improve the quality of students literacy, this was specifically broken down into the following areas; Writing Speaking Reading This was a fantastic opportunity to work across the school and begin to influence the quality of teaching and learning, pedagogy and practice.

Canning Town I was an NQT at Eastlea Community School, in 2002, during my 5 years at the school I taught PE to KS 3 and 4, across a range of disciplines, ages and genders. I delivered GCSE PE and BTEC, my results for GCSE PE were 74%, with BTEC PE results being 100%, prior to my starting at the school the PE results had generally been poor, around 25%. In my final Year of teaching GCSE PE, the value added score for the subject was 1039 (this did not include the BTEC results).
