  Sustainability West Midlands is the sustainability adviser for the leaders of the West Midlands. We are a not-for-profit company that works with our members in the business, public and voluntary sectors. We act as a catalyst for change through our advice to leaders, to develop practical solutions with our members and share success through our communications. I manage the day to day operation of SWM and lead on finance, risk, HR, and business planning. I also develop and implementation our strategic plan.   I joined ORA in June 2005 after working in the water industry for five years. I managed numerous projects but focused mainly on issues surrounding organic waste collection design and optimisation, and treatment via anaerobic digestion and composting. I worked with many local authorities in the implementation of waste collection services which includes detailed cost modelling. I am experienced in the use of WRATE for the Life Cycle Analysis of waste management scenarios. I have given many presentations at key waste management events on my experience with local authorities including the annual conferences of CIWM, LARAC, CIWEM and AfOR
