Junior furniture designer
-
Apr 2022 - Mar 2023
I was hired as a junior furniture designer to help build the companies design portfolio, develop new concepts, create technical drawings, produce high quality renders using keyshot and product CAD files of the new concepts. My role also developed as I began to create Workbench’s brand guidelines and refresh the companies brand identity by creating the guidelines from scratch as well as redesigning the current website and aligning its social media platforms with the new design language to create a refreshing new identity which aligns with the current company values. Industrial Design Intern
-
Aug 2021 - Feb 2022
Over the course of my 6 month internship I had to adapt to a high pressure environment with tight deadlines in order to produce consistent, high quality outcomes. My involvement varied from early phase market research, design language, presentation design. The more practical elements of my role included prototyping (using 3D printing and the laser cutter) as well as final stage prototype creation of both initial 2D artwork with technical details and end of phase photoshoot organisation for the final product images. Minibus chaperone
-
May 2016 - May 2017
As minibus chaperone I was responsible for up to 15 children on their journey to and from school. This involved taking calls from both school and parents, ensuring the safety of the children and taking registration. This position often meant I would be working before and after I left for school, requiring punctuality and time management in order to ensure I did not fall behind on studying for my A-levels. As this role involved working with children ranging in ages between 2 and 16 I would have to encourage a positive and safe environment meanwhile building a trusting relationship with both parents and students.
