I joined the Faculty of Health as a Lecturer to open the new psychology course on the Gold Coast. In my first year of employment, I facilitated classes across 6 undergraduate and Honours units of study, developed a unit, and acted as a Unit assessor, Lecturer, and a Tutor with limited support. Since then, I took on more leadership roles and have contributed to development of other units and curricula, benchmarking, and accreditation. My teaching and unit evaluations are excellent and exceed the Faculty and the University means. I also developed a research program and now supervise PhD candidates. My research outputs have impact, being published in Q1 journals, and the results of the studies are disseminated to the community via, for example, PD sessions with career advisors. Expertise in teaching: - research methods (introductory and advanced) - statistics (introductory and Honours) - fundamentals of career success - applied research and evaluation (psychological scientist-practitioner model)
