  As the University Claims Specialist, within the Department of Environmental Health and Safety/Risk Management and Insurance, Emergency Management and Security, and the EKU Fire Marshall (which is part of the Division of Public Safety/EKU Police), I am responsible for submitting and overseeing all insurance claims for the University. This includes, Workers' Compensation (in and out of state), all EKU Property lines, Inland Marine, Aviation, Auto, General Liability, International Travel, Equipment Breakdown, Cyber, International, etc. I also help with the bidding processes and budgeting. Additionally, I am one of the Emergency Responders for EKU that serves as a liaison between the Bluegrass Army Depot (CSEPP) Chemical Stockpile Emergency Preparedness Program and the University in training/tabletop exercises. My job includes overseeing the HIPAA compliance for EH&S/Risk Management and Insurance. I love using my experience and skills to help others on campus with Workers' Compensation injuries, and other insurance, and emergency response issues.
