It is my pleasure to provide this letter of recommendation to Ann Anderson as she seeks employment in the Sales industry. While at Time Inc., I worked under Ann as the Sr. National Account Manager for the Walmart and Sam's account. I can honestly say that Ann was the best manager and mentor that I've worked for. Her qualities as a manager shines, and I've listed out just a few that stood out to me: Leadership - Ann was a charismatic and motivating leader. She inspired me to think differently about the business. She was never a micro-manager, but at the same time, she was always there if I needed to run an idea by her or had an issue come up. Although I was at a remote office, I never felt as if I were on my own. Strategic Thinker - Ann knew the business and she impressed me with her ability to know the outcome before it happened. She was able to talk through ideas that just naturally got people on board. She always knew her audience and had the data to back up what she was pushing for. I saw this skill while still new at Time Inc. and that encouraged me to want be like her. Communication - As mentioned above, Ann is very charismatic and this came out when communicating to others. People want to listen to what she has to say; I wanted to listen and learn. When hearing her speak, these key attributes come to mind: confident, motivating, enthusiastic and calming; which is a huge strength in heated conversations. In closing, I know Ann will be a huge asset to whatever company she lands at. I learned so much from her while at Time Inc. and hope that one day our paths will cross again.
