• Worked for 9 weeks as an intern in a company which designs, manufactures and refurbishes heat exchangers, pressure vessels and columns • Successfully used “Aspen” to design a heat exchanger in a cost-effective manner and performed critical analysis of the exchanger to optimise its performance to attain the intended outlet temperatures • Worked on a basic 3-D drawing of a pressure vessel using “SolidWorks” • Worked in a 5 men strong team with technicians in the workshop to prepare various exchangers for hydrotest • Discussed with the team of technicians to identify the on-job issues and provided efficient solutions, for example they faced shortage of material, wrong size nuts and bolts etc and I sorted out the problems in the best way I could for instance I ordered the materials which were in shortage after getting an approval from the management • Worked on various engineering drawings and putting the necessary components together • Performed administrative duties, including preparation of “Quality Assurance” documents and did a stock check to ensure availability and accessibility of all relevant items prior to a job start Show less
