• full stack feature development, migrated the platform to graphql.



• Tech-lead: Feature development to move users to newer sign up flow. Infrastructure Tech-lead: created a new “container” that engineers could use to do development .I.e. write code whether it was front-end (javascript), ruby (rails) or backend (java) and test features in development. Infrastructure Tech-lead: Implemented google’s Dapper paper for the Yammer apps. This allowed us to apply telemetry to rails apps (incl. workers) to trace traffic details which were collected and curated on another system. • ✤ Participated in full feature development using Backbone.js, Cofeescript and Rails 2.3.10 to make posterous.com provide a seamless user experience. ✤ Implemented code to send newsletters to > 1MM users using Resque/Redis. ✤ Assisted with refactoring and adding tests for Rails 1/2 code to make the push to Rails 3. ✤ Took the initiative to clean up the test suite, improving runtime of core tests by 400%. ✤ Patched multiple gems to make them more specific to the Posterous app. ✤ Created a reporting app that analyzed production data and provided a daily feed of metrics for the marketing team. • Singlehandedly drove two products from concept/idea to implementation to production. Also marketed the same and functioned as an application support rep. ✤ The first application (www.juntese.com) was an end to end CMS solution (in Rails 2.1) using which property owners (HOA boards/property managers) could set up their properties online from scratch, manage owners, renters through privileges, send mass emails as well as instant alerts, manage and share documents online. A secondary tier of this application allowed residents to form social networks within the geographic context of the association - users could “look up” and message other users based on common interests, advertise services for small business. (sunset in Jan 2010). ✤ The second application (whatsinyourhive.com) was extracted from the social networking part of the first application and enhanced. • November 2010 - May 2011 - Back end developer for searscommercial.com using Rails 2.3.8, Cucumber+Capybara for integration tests (with webmock for stubbing external services), RSpec for unit testing. ✤ Assisted in implementing full text search using Solr. ✤ Integrated searscommercial with various external services for daily feeds. June 2011 - August 2011 - Re-engineered www.ncsasports.org (written in Java using Spring/Hibernate running on Windows) to multiple Rails 3.0 applications running on Linux using Apache, Passenger (REE), SQL Server. • ✤ Ported butterball.com from Java to Rails 2.1. ✤ Implemented Ultrasphinx for fast search/indexing of data (to prep for ~7MM visits/day during Thanksgiving). ✤ Deployed to a clustered server setup on Engineyard.



• ✤ Worked as a full stack engineer for wealth management online banking applications written in Java (Enterprise Javabeans/ Jakarta Struts). ✤ Developed back-end applications for front-office fund processing using Java (Spring/Hibernate) for the middle office investment banking arm of the company.
