      I worked as a laboratory technician at the Institute of Atomic Physics and Spectroscopy (01.2020. - 08.2022.). I developed a method for yeast and bacterial colony growth detection that is affordable and easy to set up in any laboratory. I wrote a MatLab script that automatically measures the colony radius and intensity. At the Institue of Microbiology and Biotechnology (02.2022. - 09.2022.) I performed transformations of yeast cells, microbial cultivations from microcultivations in 384 well plates to fermenters of several liters, and yeast stress tolerance assays. I became familiar with PCR, qPCR, gel electrophoresis, and other common methods used in research. I also learned to operate Opentron pipetting robot and performed data analysis in R. Show less
