      This vibrant non-profit organization has been providing multi-cultural counseling, outreach, and support services to low income, at-risk youth and families for almost four decades. The Board of Directors is seeking a replacement for its retiring executive director to provide leadership to an organization with a budget of $3 million with over 45 dedicated employees. Staff are drawn to the culture of caring – the retiring Executive Director has served 38 years and many of the employees have served more than a decade at La Familia. Special Requirements for the Position In partnership with the staff, the role of the Executive Director is to lead LFCC in every aspect of its mission and carry out the strategic plans and polices as established by the Board of Directors. The position calls for a dynamic and strategic thinker with a track record of accomplishments in publicly/privately funded agencies or organizations similar to LFCC. S/he is expected to bring programmatic vision and sound fiscal, personnel and operational management skills to LFCC. S/he must be adept in understanding and managing budgets that are funded almost entirely by grants from public, private, and non-profit entities. S/he must have experience with fund development, organizational problem solving, and crisis management. S/he must be a confident, thoughtful, and decisive manager of personnel with the ability to match individual skills and interests with programmatic needs. S/he must have effective communication skills to represent LFCC in the community, including funders, elected officials and other leaders. Applicants must have a Master’s Degree in Social Work or a related field and a minimum of three years experience in a management level position.
