  I currently work as social care worker in a residential setting. This involves working with young people who present with challenging behaviours on a daily basis. I worked one to one with a young person supporting the young person’s development in both personal and social skills, and encouraging a structured routine. I regularly taught the young people new skills to help regulate their emotions and challenging behaviour. I am also a key worker to one young person and carry out a number of key-working sessions with the young people. These key working session would revolve around helping the young person build on their skills and develop new skills. I assisted the young people with their education plans, as well as organising leisure activities for the young people.
