Youth-led technology-based programs ultimately trained more than 150 young people as advocates for safety. • Brought in new partners and sources of revenue, including a $1 million dollar corporate donation that funded the launch of a national youth ambassador program for tire safety. Program reached more than 100,000 young people in the first two years through safety education programs and an instructional application.• Developed and directed a multi-level plan for new youth-friendly brand and website. Built a social media presence and expanded youth outreach via peer-to-peer social media challenge that significantly increased followers.

Highlighted Accomplishments• Organized a strategic planning session with the initial members to better define the purpose and direction of the coalition.• Held the first National Arts & Health in the Military Summit at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, bringing together over 300 artists, medical professionals, program managers, and military leaders to educate, promote, and support the need for arts in health programs for service members and their families.• Hosted a think tank on research, policy, and practice to assess the state of arts in health in the military and needs for the future, ultimately resulting in a White Paper published by Americans for the Arts.

  Successfully managed growth and rebranding of international nonprofit membership organization active in the advancement of the arts in healthcare and healing.Highlighted Accomplishments:• Reported to and served on 23-member Board of Directors representing hospitals, medical facilities, architects, universities, arts organization, insurers, consultants, and artists.• Developed and managed two-year transition plan for new name, brand, and website in 2012, including targeted audience surveys in seven countries and focus groups throughout North America, Australia, and the United Kingdom.• Increased corporate giving levels by designing and launching a new corporate giving program called Leadership Circles, which brought in $40,000 in the first year and continued to grow annually. Also created three new and compelling individual donor campaigns.• Incorporated 501(c)6 sister organization to establish professional certification for the field and directed workgroup to create and launch first certification testing.

  Managed national network of 92 state and local Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalitions and 900 nonprofit organizations, major medical trade associations, government agencies, and corporations dedicated to improving the health and safety of mothers, babies, and families through education and partnership initiatives.Highlighted Accomplishments:• Analyzed health trends and promoted emerging maternal and child health issues through new publications and videos with national experts, reaching more than 20,000 professionals and advocates in the first year.• Competed for and won a three-year $1.5 million grant from Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to develop the National Partnership for Immunization, bringing together 34 national organizations to launch a campaign, reaching more than 1 million young parents in low income immunization states across the nation.• Initiated and directed an annual awards benefit luncheon on Capitol Hill with high profile Emcees and Awardees, including Marlo Thomas, Cokie and Steve Roberts, Nancy O’Dell, and Mary Crosby, to advocate for increased maternal and child health government funding. This event also contributed $40,000 to $50,000 in annual revenue for the organization.
