During my tenure with the Army, I compiled and updated personnel records, with units as small as 30 personnel and upwards of 900. Promotions, emergency information, education, evaluations, and disciplinary action were recorded and tracked. Database information was verified against hard copy records and updates made when needed. All employee records were housed in accordance with local and federal guidelines, ensuring proper storage and security. As responsibilities increased, I became responsible for local supply orders and was a company credit card holder. I supervised the work of office employees to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures, passing several office inspections with high accolades. MS Access was used to create databases to track personnel training requirements and information. Training responsibilities included developing training schedules in coordination with other departments, acquiring resources and attending training meetings for the acquisition and dissemination of information in a timely manner; ensured all employees were up to date on all annual training requirements. MS Word was used for all general memorandums. Additional duties included BOSS (Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers) coordinator and Urinalysis (drug testing) coordinator. I developed fundraising projects. Most notably was a 5K, utilizing 30 volunteers to acquire resources, development of a marketing program, coordination with several different organizations on the installation and in the community. The program netted $10,000 for the program. Other time was used to coordinate free events throughout the year and acquire resources, including transportation and volunteers. As the urinalysis coordinator, I ensured teams were in place to conduct periodic employee drug testing, ensuring chain of custody was not broken and specimens were not mishandled. My coordination efforts led to a zero error rate in a two year period. Show less
