May 2020 - Mar 2021
As an executive member of the Queen’s NeuGeneration Conference, my role requires that I collaborate with students from Queens and external Universities. The conference explores the field of Neuroscience and grants students the opportunity to interact with leading neuroscience researchers from across North America. As Delegates Coordinator I oversea external and internal delegate registration, organize ticket sales, investigate relationships with other neuroscience clubs at different universities, prepare and work with sponsorships to construct delegate gifts and manage NeuGeneraton External Ambassadors. Social Coordinator
-
Apr 2020 - May 2021
I am currently an executive member of the Queen’s Rock Climbing Club. However, due to COVID-19 my role as social coordinator has been modified. My role now requires that I lead a cohort of students every Tuesday at the Boiler room. In other words, I help teach and promote a convivial environment. In the summer of 2019, I held a receptionist position at Xtreme Couture, a mixed martial arts and fitness facility. As a receptionist, I managed incoming phone calls, directed customers, registered new members and completed paperwork pertaining to the gym. Through this position, I gained valuable experience by maintaining the health, safety and order of all members and staff at the gym. Working at McDonald’s challenged me to multi-task, accommodate the most difficult customers and enjoy the company of my co-workers. I worked on the floor, taking orders, packing meals and stocking the store.
