During this internship, I developed System Requirements and Design Requirements for a novel fluid delivery device prototype that allowed design and testing to be specified based on clinical needs and IEC 60601 standards, and performed various test methods on the prototype to meet and exceed Design Requirements, and developed Technical Summaries to document testing results that verified the requirements. I also verified geometric specifications for other devices using Windchill and Solidworks and submitted documentation to FDA, as well proctored and observed clinical usability studies for hemodynamic monitoring devices. For this position, I created and managed an agenda for the hands on field of the course Measurements & Instrumentation taught at the University of Texas at San Antonio. This included supervising students that are performing experiments designed to help students gain an understanding of various engineering concepts and instruments used for testing in the engineering industry. Experiments covered the topics of basic circuit analysis, data acquisition, statistical models, and basic Arduino programming.
