I had the pleasure of working with him side by side in building the sustainability consulting portfolio for North America and admired his leadership when it came to empowering his team, trusting them to lead, and supporting them as needed. Anirban (Andy) is one of the brightest and energetic minds that I have come across in Cognizant. He led the ESG Advisory and Consulting practise in Cognizant and was responsible for putting together a meticulous team. Under his leadership, the team was able to bag prestigious clients from a range of verticals like healthcare, BFSI and RCGTH in a short duration. He thus acted as a perfect liaison between the junior teams, the clients and the top management. Andy exudes a very friendly aura to his peers and it was great working with him. I still remember it was one of the corner rooms in the IBM Allen Park, Michigan office when I met you for the first time. After exchanging our greetings, it was soon enough to realize you were running out of time for an urgent presentation, but your tone, interest in a new IBMer in me was no less. You made me feel very much that I am there. We could be on the white board after 2 hours from then and sessions like those lasted for the next few days, not to mention even casual-to-work sessions even in the hotel lobby. Articulate, specific,detailed,agile I can go on being short of apt adjectives if I am to describe about your work and the kind of work you like, but with all these, goes your most important message and that is "Empathy, empowerment,self belief and the emotional quotient are key pillars which transform us from being individuals to a team and that is what which takes us to zenith". Anirban, thanks for being what you are, being so passionate about what you do and being so humbly exuberant about it. Wish you all the best and to those who are and will be part of your journey...
