Lauren is great teacher and is very knowledgeable in the skills and programs she teaches. I took her classes during the quarantine, which for many teachers was a nightmare full of technical problems, however, Lauren demonstrated her abilities to adapt to the new online environment very quickly and was understanding to students that were having difficulties.

She has a great understanding of Maya and Toon Boom and easily handles any issues that may arise with them in a calm and easy to understand manor. Her growth mindset teaching method has helped me become a better artist as well as an over all better person. Lauren's 3D modeling skills are stunning. Everything she makes looks clean and detailed. Lauren is the kind of person that bring joy and laughter to those around her, bringing up the moral in the room and making the school environment easy and stress free to work in. Weather you need a modeler, an animator (be it 2D or 3D) or an instructor at your institute Lauren would be a choice you would not regret.

I instruct several classes for the Animation Department at Johnson County Community College. Courses include Digital Rendering for Animation, Introduction to 2D Animation, Character Animation, Introduction to 3D Modeling, Advanced 2D Animation Independent Study, and Career Preparation. I'm tasked with preparing students for the industry by showing them how to navigate and utilize industry standard software. I also aid in building the foundation for their future skill-sets by teaching the important and critical fundamentals that their future animation endeavors will be built upon. From the traditional, hand drawn methods to the paperless and 3D digital medias, the classes I instruct cover a wide breadth of information and technology.
