This project is for building Enterprise Data Provisioning Platform (EDPP) which allows TD bank to address new business needs. First phase of the EDPP project was to develop a Hadoop platform for data collected within TD bank and move existing files from their current systems onto the Hadoop cluster. This project has two phases Ingestion and Extraction. In Ingestion we have Hive external tables which points to source data files (CSV, XML and Binary) and in Extraction we have flat tables/views which populates the data from source/base table which make data feed through export to end reporting tool. This project was Developed using open source technology, Apache Hadoop.

This project is is for identifying the Enterprise Customer Risk Rating (ECRR) which allows leading corporate bank to address new business requirements/needs. The Compliance team within Corporate Segment Technology Solutions is responsible for the delivery and support of the technology solutions for the Global Anti-Money Laundering (AML) business across the enterprise. Applications currently serviced by this team include the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) system, Enterprise Customer Risk Rating (ECRR), FINTRAC reporting of suspicious and large cash transactions, and customer scrubbing against Watch/Sanction lists (WLM). The technical components for the ECRR program over the next three years with the help of Apache Hadoop Technology. This Technology would be best fit to current scenario for development and analysis, which full fill the business needs.

TCP connection Termination Behaviours for Mobile Web

Many emerging smart applications and services employ Web technology, and users nowadays surf the Web from any device via any kind of access network. Typically, high page latencies trigger users to abort ongoing transfers, resulting in the abrupt terminations of the TCP connections. In this research a systematic study of the termination process of the TCP connections and identifies the reasons behind the observed sequences of termination flags. Monitoring and classification of the termination behavior of the TCP connections can provide indications about the user-perceived performance of Web transfers. From the results, it is observed that the TCP termination behavior is heavily-dependent on the client-side application. A set of criteria is proposed to identify the abortions made by the user.
