      Tracks Dance is Darwin’s foremost dance company and has been creating high quality works for over 25 years. Each year Tracks produces a major work as part of the Darwin Festival in August. My role as production manager required me to act as the central point of communication between each department of the company as well as outside designers, festival contacts and other stakeholders. In addition to communication, my primary responsibilities were managing the scope, schedule, budget and risk factors for each production. This engagement would last 3 – 4 months with a wide variation in hours worked each week, time management and effective communication were vital. Responsibilities include - • Chairing regular production meetings, writing minutes and following up on tasks and actionable items. • Drafting and maintaining a production schedule. • Monitoring production budgets, costing resources and reporting to CFO • Creating a risk assessment, implementing and reviewing risk management strategies. • Designing the site plan for each outdoor event in conjunction with the Director. • Employing production crew and engaging outside contractors.       ABC TV filmed two seasons of Northern Territory Football League for broadcast locally and on ABC iView. In addition to the NTFL, ABC would cover the ANZAC day dawn service and the commemoration of the bombing of Darwin each year for broadcast. During the season, my role involved the coordination of audio for each game. This involved a series of 10 microphones around the perimeter each wirelessly connected, a microphone on the sidelines for the correspondent on the ground, two headset microphones for the commentators when on camera as well as two more conventional microphones for use during play. Throughout the game I would monitor audio from each source to ensure quality feed and attend to any problems. A secondary responsibility was assisting the setup and pack down of the 6 TV cameras and their related infrastructure. Responsibilities include • Setup of audio infrastructure before game • Fitting headset microphones to commentators • Monitoring audio throughout game and resolving any issues • Assisting in camera set up • Packing down equipment after each game • Maintaining equipment and requesting repairs / replacements between games. Key Achievements • Worked effectively as part of a large team from varied skill bases • Worked closely with high profile commentators. • Was able to utilize my education and experience focussing on audio • Was able to quickly trouble-shoot and diagnosed problems in a complex audio video system.
