Project Title: Quality Assessment of OpenStreetMap (OSM) building data for generating 3D city models I am tasked to build a database of OSM buildings and roads for the entire planet with PostgreSQL and PostGIS. Moreover, I also explore applications of machine learning algorithms in satellite imagery to ascertain the completeness of OSM buildings such as Classification and Regression Trees (CART), Support Vector Machine and Random Forest Classifier. Project Title: Spatial Patterns of Liver Fluke Infection and Risk in the Mekong Region As part of the Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP), I am tasked to analyze food sharing practices among villagers of raw food cuisines in Thailand villages. Key Achievements: • Created Bokeh web plot that visualizes household and their food sharing network with accordance to their socioeconomic attributes •Employed statistical tests such as Fisher's Exact Tests and Environmental Random Graph Modelling (ERGM) to ascertain associations between Opisthorchis Viverrini (OV) infection and food sharing practices and socioeconomic attributes of villagers Show less

Department: Digital Planning Lab • Part of the project that determines islandwide accessibility to recreational facilities in Singapore. • Utilising ModelBuilder and Python (Arcpy, Numpy, Pandas) in ArcMap, I have created tools and stand-alone python scripts that generate recreational scoring for different postal codes in Singapore with variations in scale and optimization. These ModelBuilder tools, which are dynamic in nature, allow planners to switch input parameters to obtain different mapping and visualization outputs. • Experimented and created a General Transit Feed Specification (GTFS) network dataset of Singapore's multimodal public transport system in ArcMap, using open-sourced data, ESRI plugins as well as Overpass Turbo that allows the extraction of different route and street relations in OpenStreetMap. This GTFS network dataset can then be used for better prediction of transport accessibility, engendering a more accurate isochronic map. • Effectively digitised more than 1000 recreation facilities in ArcMap with the help of satellite imagery • Using various Python Libraries (Matplotlib, Pandas, ipywidgets), I have created a graphing widget that filters dataframes according to user inputs. Subsequently, it can also generate graphs to track the energy usage of buildings for a particular postal code. Show less
